It Is You (I Have Loved) might be the most underrated song in the Shrek franchise

When it comes to songs in the Shrek movies, All Star, Accidentally in Love, I'm a Believer (to name a few) are the ones everyone talks about. These are great songs, but I do feel there is one that people overlook. It Is You (I Have Loved) is one of the songs on the first Shrek movie album. I didn't know this song even existed until I decided to watch the credits and the melody caught my attention. It's basically a pop cover of Fairytale but with lyrics sung by Dana Glover. Admittedly, I can see people dismissing this as just a pop song too similar to the pop covers of Disney songs from the Renaissance era that were also typically saved for the credits of their respective movies. Also worth considering that Shrek is supposed to be the Anti-Disney movie, so it would sound out of place in a movie that features more upbeat songs with a carefree attitude. But I feel It Is You (I Have Loved) captures the sincere side of Shrek. As much as Shrek makes fun of the tropes and messages in Disney movies (especially in the Renaissance era), Shrek still has a sincere message about not judging someone by their appearance and embracing their character (flaws and all). There is no perfect prince or princess unless you're willing to accept them for who they are, and not allowing judgement from others ruin what you are. This song perfectly captures Shrek and Fiona's development in love throughout the movie, slowly falling for each other, and realizing that they're perfect for each other. What do you guys think?

Saw it in 4DX, and it’s like Shrek 4D from Universal Orlando never left! Whether that’s a good thing or not is up to you

What other villain you expect on Shrek 5 that is not Mickey Mouse or the rumored Lord Farquaad?

Like maybe Morgana

I finally got to see Shrek in theater!

I love this movie and have seen it many times of course. Seeing it in a theater was a wonderful experience that I would really recommend to anyone who is a fan of this movie. It’s so vibrant as always!

Also my theater was fairly empty other than maybe 10-20 seats that had people from a home or some sort of supported living probably and they were super chill.

If you have seen it in theaters what are your thoughts?

Theory: Tabatha was the witch that cursed Fiona

A while back I posted a theory where I believed that the Fairy godmother wasnt the witch that cursed Fiona but instead FG heard about the curse and used it to her advantage instead. This theory will delve in to the Witxh's identity. In the 2nd movie, there are several posters on the wall of past FG customers, one of which is of a girl named Tabatha who FG helped become a real with. My theory is that she was a customer around the same time as Harold and while his price was having Charming marry Fiona, Tabatha's price was using her new witch powers to Curse Fiona leading to the main Shrek plot

does human Shrek look like Lawrence Olivier?

I watched the 1939 version of Wuthering Heights and noticed a strong visual resemblance. Am I crazy?
