Looking for honest feedback on my PMM CV

PMMs, I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my CV.

I was made redundant in April this year and have been looking for my next Product Marketing role since then.
Since starting my job search, I’ve:
• Applied for 211 jobs
• Had 55 interviews
• Made it to 8 final rounds

My experience is across FinTech, MarTech and Professional Services, including experience at one of the Big 4. I’ve worked across GTM, positioning and messaging, customer and market research, competitive intelligence, product launches and enablement. So I know I’m getting through the door, but I’m struggling to get the offer. The feedback I’ve managed to get has mainly been that another candidate had more years of experience or more direct industry experience. A lot of the time, though, I’m simply ghosted after the interview process.

At this point, I’m trying to work out what I might be missing. Is there something about my CV that isn’t positioning my experience strongly enough? Is there anything you would change about how I’m presenting my PMM experience? Or is there something else that stands out to you?

I’ve attached my CV and would genuinely appreciate some honest feedback, especially from PMMs, hiring managers and recruiters.

Please don’t be afraid to be critical. I’m at the point where I’d rather hear what isn’t working so I can actually do something about it.

I’ve dropped the junior my title in my CV is this a problem?

Hi everyone,

I am a Junior Product Marketing Manager in b2b SaaS and I own the gtm strategy, launches and execution in my product area. So I am working as a product marketing manager basically but with a junior title. I’ve been applying for Product marketing manager roles and have just dropped the junior in my title on my cv and have been positioning myself as such as that title relates more to my responsibilities. If I get an offer and background checks are done will this be an issue and could offers be withdrawn?

Need advice for a B2B PMM onsite whiteboard interview

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a final stage onsite interview coming up for a Product Marketing Manager role at a tech company, and part of the process includes a short product-focused scenario where I’ll need to prepare and deliver a whiteboard presentation with only 15 minutes prep time.

The company said they’re mainly assessing:
Thinking process
Communication
How I approach problems in the moment

I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who’s done similar PMM onsite interviews.

A few things I’m wondering:
What frameworks work best for these kinds of exercises?
How detailed are they expecting you to go in only 15 minutes?
Is it better to focus on structure and prioritisation vs trying to solve everything?
What usually makes candidates stand out?
Any tips for handling the discussion/Q&A portion confidently?

For context, my background is in B2B SaaS product marketing across GTM strategy, positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, sales enablement, and AI-related product launches.

Hi everyone,

Curious how people here approach live whiteboard presentations/workshops for product-focused scenarios. I’ve come across a format where you’re given an ecommerce/product scenario, around 15 minutes to prepare, and then you have to present your thinking live and talk through your approach in real time.

For those who’ve done similar exercises:

How do you structure your thinking quickly?

Do you use a specific framework?

How detailed do you go in the time available?

What tends to make a presentation feel strong vs weak?

Any tips for keeping the discussion structured and collaborative?

Final B2B PMM interview with a live whiteboard presentation, any advice?

Hi everyone,

I was unfortunately made redundant from my previous PMM role about 2 weeks ago, so this final interview feels like a really important opportunity for me.

The final stage includes a live whiteboard presentation and I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who’s done something similar, especially in PMM/B2B SaaS/ecommerce environments.

The format is:
I’ll be given a short ecommerce/product-focused scenario on the day, 15 minutes to prepare. Then I’ll present my thinking live to a panel followed by discussion/questions. The company said they’re assessing thinking, communication, and approach in the moment.

I’m comfortable with PMM strategy and stakeholder communication generally, but I’ve never done a live whiteboard-style exercise before, especially with such little prep time.

For anyone who’s been through this:

How would you structure your thinking in the 15 minutes?

What are interviewers usually looking for in these exercises?

How detailed should the solution actually be?

Any tips for handling the pressure and discussion part afterwards?
