Hi guys,

Been riding for around 3 years now and had my first accident yesterday. I won’t bore you with the full story but a car in front hit the breaks while I was doing a shoulder check to swap lanes. Had enough time to break and swerve but ended up hitting my knee against his rear bumper and it was loose.

My bike is completely undamaged, so my question is do I still need to make a claim? Or do I have to wait for him to claim and have my insurance deal with it that way. Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I’ve never had to claim before.
