I think i broke the story
I've started a new embrace durge run and decided to go about it in a... unique way. First I wanted to weaken the grove so I stope the idol of silvanus and killed the druids, I then lead minthara to the grove but I wanted to be greedy so after she left I killed the goblins for the loot and xp. I thought she wouldn't be mad since she was elsewhere. I also freed halsin as I was interested to see what he'd do
When I went to the grove there was no raid since there was only a couple left over tieflings, however when I went to speak with minthara she tried to kill me so I knocked her out
This means I was left with no goblins and no grove so there was no party either way. A shame because I wanted to romance astarion. Even more weird is that wyll and karlach stuck around despite the fact I arguably was just as if not more evil than the normal grove raid
I haven't seen halsin yet. Whether the game doesn't know what to do since the game hasn't put me on either side
Update: I've played some more and pretty much sprinted to moonrise. Minthara was there and her dialogue suggested the raid failed as she complained about being given goblins instead of drow. So the game is acting as if I defeated her before the raid despite the grove being slaughtered. Im assuming because she was aggressive before I could speak to her in the grove
Halsin hasn't showed yet. I've done 3-4 long rests but he still hasn't made himself known. I may check back in on his cell to see if he's dead but the goblins in the prison are dead so I dont see why he would be
All in all this has been very strange. The best way I can describe it is I've compromised certain story beats and character interactions for more xp and loot but I'm happy I tried it. This game is one that I'll always be happy to try different ways to play
