AIO - cutting off two of my friends for dating each other
two of my best friends started dated behind my back. specifically one (friend A) asked the other out after i explicitly told her not to. i explained that i was very uncomfortable with them dating, seeing as i intro both of them to each other and i knew that friend B wasn’t as interested as friend A. they started dating against my wishes and i found out after i was driving around doing errands and i saw friend B’s car drive out of A’s neighbourhood.
i‘m closer with friend B, and at first was happy for him. then he opened up that A had shamed him for previous dating experiences. specifically, A had said that it was “gross” that B had been talking to other people months before they started ”talking.”
obviously, i was pissed because A had been the one to chase B, yet all they could do was demean them subtly and occasionally be affectionate. after cutting A off, she grew more possessive of B. often in group settings, SHE PHYSICAL HELD B BACK from talking to me.
im ngl i feel like this is too immature for people our age, so i just want to cut them both off fully. im sick of B’s lack of backbone too, so i just want it to stop.
