between two book suggestions for my s/o
im an avid reader, but he is not… I’ve been given a task, he says he will read a book of my choosing (mind you i gifted him exit here by jason meyers a few years ago and he never finished it-.-) any who, i’m between the outsiders or touching spirit bear
I chose these two because he lacks a lot of personal depth, he thinks one way and that’s it. If you gave him a fact that’s word and there’s no deep conversation as to what the other possibilities may be. he’s also not a reader, i’m kind of hoping that either one of these books can open more deeper level thinking, imagination, offer some reflection, and give him time to slow down. i’m a very altruistic person and love a deep conversation, glass half full and half empty kind girl. reading brings me joy and time to ruminate in a healthy way, I sympathize with fictional characters and try to put myself in others shoes( i’m empathetic and always thinking of the possibilities) idk id love to see him be more of a free thinker and compassionate as well as not confined to one way of thinking and that’s it. completely unnecessary backstory but maybe give you an idea of who is and which book would suit him best.
thanks for coming to my ted talk
the outsiders or touching spirit bear?
(i’d suggest their eyes were watching god but I know he’d hate it)
