Finding a doctor (OBGYN)
Hi,
My family and I are making a cross country move to Seattle early in pregnancy. I am looking into medical providers in the Ballard/Fremont/Wallingford area and am hoping for recommendations on doctors in the area and some general feedback on the hospitals.
This will be our second and I am unfamiliar with the hospital structure/private practice care in Seattle. With our first in NYC I saw a doctor in a practice of 3 women. I saw all three throughout my pregnancy and knew that one of them would be there for delivery. Do Swedish or UW work similarly? it seems that at both, you may see your own OB through pregnancy but have any doctor for delivery?
I am mostly concerned with having female care throughout the pregnancy and delivery and I had one complication in my first pregnancy that would need to be monitored this time around. I am open to midwife care as well but know less about that.
