Card info stolen twice this year. Is this just normal now?
This is the second time this year that my credit card info has been stolen, and it was on two completely different cards.
First one was a Chase card a few months ago. Random charges started showing up, Chase flagged it and shut the card down and sent a replacement, it's whatever. Then it just happened again with my Capital One card. Same deal, fraud alert and charges blocked, card canceled new one on the way. Was caught quite early so no major pains but this is very stressful. I’m trying to figure out if there’s anything practical people here actually do to prevent this?
