Got a new macbook pro m5max , after 1 week of use - today i closed the lid and went to eat 5min. I had youtube opened, chatgpt and google on 3 safari tabs, also the app asperite open.

when coming back the laptop was hot, the lid too. opening the lid did not wake the screen and i rebooted. I checked in the terminal, showing :

Entering Sleep state due to 'Thermal Emergency Sleep

Diagnostic tools showed everything normal,
Cinebench / cpu and gpu stress tests run very good temps with closed lid on external display. Fans are normal.

could it have been a bug? i was on tahoe 26.4. After updating so far, could not replicate issue.
