I’ve recently started posting my long-form post-war Harry Potter fic For Dust to Settle.

It follows Harry during Auror training after the war, dealing with trauma, investigations, and the slow shift from survival into adulthood.

The story mixes domestic moments, darker horror elements, and mystery arcs inspired by rural Britain and the Highlands.

Main themes include PTSD, recovery, strained friendships, and Harry/Ginny.

New chapter of For Dust to Settle is up.

“The Chaser and the Owls” is a quieter post-war chapter focused on Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione trying to have something close to a normal day again. Diagon Alley trips, Quidditch gear, owl shopping, Weasley chaos, and the strange feeling of peace after surviving a war.

A more character-driven chapter this time around — lots of relationship development, banter, and the underlying weight all four of them are still carrying.

Would genuinely love feedback and thoughts.
