First one I've ever been able to poke out with my fingers

First one I've ever been able to poke out with my fingers

I've felt it in my throat for like a week now. Gargling hasn't worked to get rid of it and using a curved syringe is usually a 50/50 gamble. I finally got frustrated and poked around with my fingers (not ideal I know) and got this out. Is this considered particularly big?

How effective is saltwater gargle and/or Flonase?

I (25 F) have had tonsil stones for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is spitting one up in preschool. However, they seem to be getting significantly worse lately. I can feel them in my throat but rarely can I see them well enough to remove them by sight. In the past I have used a dental syringe to irrigate them out, but that seems to be becoming less effective (not sure why).

Does gargling with saltwater nightly really help? I've also seen some people say that Flonase use reduces the amount of stones they get. Any advice? I plan on talking to my doctor about it soon, but I really don't want to resort to a tonsillectomy.

Thanks!
