Alright so, I saw a post earlier that just said “You just had to be there” describing early Payday2, before it became a kinda shitpost game.
I’m mostly making this because I replied under that post basically saying that I had never played classic PD2, and that my introduction was from the Russian Badger videos, and that I felt the shit posts were kinda the games identity to me. The poster than refused to actually tell me what classic Payday2 was like/how it was good, and instead kept insulting and eventually blocked me.

Point of all that is to say, that whole interaction has me questioning if classic PD2 was good at all. So what’s everyone’s thoughts?
What was the difference between classic and modern Payday2? Was it better or worse?
