Planting on limestone

I was hoping to turn a section of yard into a native/butterfly/bee area, but the rock is only 3" down.

I spent about 4 hours with a rock bar to get one plant in the ground. I really don't want to repeat that. Building up the soil is troublesome because it is bordered by trees. I don't want to bury the trunk, and there are some surface roots running through the area.

What plants are good at growing at shallow depths or in/on limestone? It does have an irrigation system (very shallow, of course).

ETA-it gets about 8 hours of sun

When do I seek care for excessive bleeding?

I am on my 3rd period in 4 weeks. This one has been 30 hours straight of an ultra tampon every 1-1.5 hrs. I can't do ANYTHING like this. At no more than an 1.5 hrs in, it's running past the tampon and everywhere like a freaking horror movie.

Seriously, at what point do I go to urgent care? I don't have a GYN as I just moved across the country and my first appointment isn't until Monday.

What other symptoms should I look out for? Everything online says to see your doctor, but this subreddit is full of other women where this is just part of perimenopause. I feel like I'll be treated like I'm overreacting.

How did this poster come to be?

When we moved into our house, a frame/poster was left behind. I reverse image searched it, and the photograph appears to be "Infinity Tree" by Peter Lik.

This is clearly not a $12,000 fine art print. But I'm curious how this poster came to be. Where would someone get a copy of this photograph with enough resolution to make a 24" x 36" poster?

I don't want it. Is it best to destroy it or can I offer it on a freecycle?

Trees are down, now what?

New house. We just had an arborist remove probably 50% of these hackberries due to dangerous growth (one had already fallen into the pool).

Now I'm left with...dirt. Partially because of shade, but likely contributed to by the previous owners dog.

It appears all of these areas are now getting sun (pictures taken at 1 pm). Do I try to grow grass here?

The soil is very poor as is. It has sprinklers but we are only allowed to water once per week. I'm not seeing grass getting established in August under those conditions. Do I just have to stare at dirt until the fall?

Do I make garden beds along the fence? If we do beds, I'm thinking a retaining wall in front of the trees might be necessary. See the last picture...this took 15" of flash flooding rain so it's rare, but still possible. (the water flows in from behind the fence).

Help me with ideas. I will probably hire a landscaper for this, but I'd really like to go into that meeting with some ideas.

I nearly had the arborist just throw his wood chips back here, but alas, we also have termites. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Pizza recs

Just moved here and looking for a regular old pizza takeout/delivery joint for family pizza night.

It seems like Boerne either has "fancy" pizza of the 12-14" wood fired variety, or chain pizza like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Little Caesar's.

Am I missing a local place?

We tried Marco's last night. It was pretty meh on the pizza and the wings were really, really bad. Tiny, rubbery, I have no idea what the sauce was but it was NOT buffalo.

Help with nook/clock

I'd like this clock to stay here. I have literally nothing else to put in this space, and the clock has sentimental value (made by my dad in a military base craft shop while stationed in the Middle East).

I don't like clutter and prefer a minimalist style, but this looks so blah.

I feel like it might be better on a riser of some sort. There is a light above that helps with shadows.

What should I do to help this space?

Anyone around Boston?

If so, would you like my super worm breeders? I'm moving and don't reall want to take them across the country. I really feel bad killing them when they are such productive little buggers.

Anyone around Boston?

We are moving in 30 days, and I have a colony of superworm beetles that I'd give to someone that is interested. This group is on the older side on average, so no guarantees on their longevity, but they have been great producers for me.
