Oxbow Spot Consideration

Hello all,

I’ve recently found a spot right off of the main channel of a river near me that I went to check out. Full disclosure I have very minimal experience hunting public river bottoms. It’s a large river bend area (Oxbow?) that is about 300 acres, with a few mini bends I found bedding in the back of. The inlet/outlet area that’s the only access pinch point to this oxbow is about 175 yards I found trails through. Just curious to those who have hunted areas like this before, is this oxbow too large to set up at the end of? Or would you hunt the smaller bend attachments deeper into the piece? Any advice helps! Thank you all and best of luck this year hope y’all get the big one!

How Would Deer Travel

I found this pinch point at the end of an oxbow that I want to go check out. Between the 2 rivers, based on the topographical features and lines, where do you think deer would travel through and where should I set up at?
