Can there be rules as to what qualifies nsfw?

I really dislike how this community is based off cute deer pictures only to see posts showing dead deer, deer with wounds, broken limbs, bones (not as bad), deer with cwd, and deer with other diseases.

I really wish the mods would do something about this.
This isn’t a vultureculture subreddit.. it’s about the animal itself, not the death or suffering of it. I just wish that people would use the nsfw tag more often. Even seeing the top post is a deer with its stomach hanging out, UNTAGGED mind you…

Is there a subreddit for normal pictures of deer?

I keep seeing posts about CWD and pretty much straight up gore, i dont wanna see that stuff, just the cute pictures please, are there any other subreddits that have that sort of stuff banned?

Is this piebaldism?

If so, that would make them the second animal in my neighborhood with piebaldism. The other one being a squirrel! It’s sibling and mother have a normal coat.

I posted this baby in December when I was visiting, but I came back and managed to find her again! We named her Rosie!

One Velvet Antler, One Normal

Pictures aren't the best, but I've been seeing this guy around with one velvet antler and one normal. You can't really see in the photo, but at the base of the normal antler is a big thick nugget of velvet growing as well. I know injuries to their "huevos" can cause antler growth irregularities like button bucks, but I've never seen one retain the previous seasons antler for so long. Do you think it will just pop off randomly? Most sharing for fun, but curious if anyone has any thoughts or knowledge on the subject!

Backyard deer activity

There’s lots of deer activity in my yard, there used to be sightings almost every night but I haven’t seen any in a while. I wonder if they’ve been staying in the woods to combat the heat. 🤔 This deer was interested in my puppy’s tennis ball. So cute!! 🦌

Neighborhood Deer 🤍

Wanted to share my daily Mom and Baby duo! We’ve lived here a year now, and the Mom has become my 5th pet 🥹

They sadly don’t let us really close, but I am able to watch them eat from my porch. We have three large dogs who’ve learned to coexist with them. There are atleast two other deer who come by daily too, one being a spike!
