taking summer classes while recovering from surgery

i’m hoping someone who has taken online courses over summer can give me some insight on the pacing and if i can actually do this.

i have a surgery scheduled for July and just found out that if i want to graduate on time (next spring) i’ll need to take some online courses over the summer. it’s either that or take 20+ credit terms every term next school year, which i really don’t think i could handle. i already registered for summer classes, the surgery can be rescheduled, though obviously i’m upset and would rather not.

for summer classes i’m taking SPED 411, MUJ 351, ARH 314, and ARH 315. i’ve never taken summer courses or any online courses at UO so i’m not really sure what to expect. i transferred from community college and online courses were extremely easy there, but i don’t want to assume thats also true here.

when i’m in recovery i’ll mostly be in bed and taking it easy for a few weeks so online work won’t be hard to do, but i don’t doubt i’ll be tired mentally as well as physically. the ARH classes in specific are not asynchronous and have scheduled online lectures every weekday except friday. i may not be able to attend the classes on my surgery date depending on what time i go in, and maybe for a day or two afterwards depending on how i feel. is that a no go for an accelerated course? do they allow absences?

if anyone has experience with summer classes or these classes in particular please let me know. this is a hard decision and i’m honestly not sure what i should do,
