Skoda ASC replaced my front right with a different tyre model. Concern?

Kylaq came stock with Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2. Went for a front right replacement — after waiting 3-4 days for stock, they put a Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard instead without asking.

From what I understand, MaxGuard is the next-gen upgrade to TripleMax 2 — same family, better wet grip. So not a wild mismatch. But mismatched axles in rain braking is still a thing.

SA says pull test showed no issues and it won't matter. I've asked for a written remark on the invoice that this was their call — he's "looking into it."

Is this actually a concern? Should I push harder on the written remark? Any experience with this?

[🛞🆘] | Tyre SOS — Sunday scramble on my Kylaq

>For those who saw my 500 km puncture post >!(and many also trolled)!< - yes, same tyre, same car, same guy. 🙃

Quick Background:
Right front got a bad puncture (large nail/rod type object). Tried repair three times, still went flat while driving. Currently on the spare 15-inch wheel with ~100 km done on it already. It’s Sunday so need to sort this today - finding time on a weekday gets tricky

Need to do a ~60 km round trip Today

My Options:

  • Option A: Try the Internal patch repair and go for the drive (haven't done this yet)
  • Option B: Local dealer has matching Goodyear Assurance TripleMax (late 2024 build) at ₹6,500–7,500
  • Option C: Same dealer has a different Goodyear model (same size 205/55 R17, different tread) at ₹10,000 — suggests mounting on rear
  • Option 4: Skoda service centre has exact matching tyre but only available tomorrow (same 10K price).

Quick responses appreciated 🙏 Any suggestions or alternatives are welcome!

I'm from Hyderbad. If anyone has any suggestions on location, that's even amazing!
