A lot of people wish they'd rather be born a Nepo baby but people who were born into a poor and middle class family but managed to crawl their way out of it and into a scholarship then a stable job lead the best and most colorful lives.
They get to experience the exhilaration of getting a full scholarship, affording their own car or house for the first time. They get to experience the exhilaration of getting permanent residency or citizenship in a first world country after working so hard.
They are usually touted as the smartest or most talented in their tiny village so they also get the added self esteem boost and everyone's proud of them for making it out.
Also, their backstories are usually more compelling than nepobabies, whose achievements are constantly being dismissed by the fact that their parents have money. They earn natural sympathy from the public because of their background, while people tend to look at people born rich with disdain.
