The Five Phases (Wu Xing): Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — an index card breakdown

Sharing a five-card set that lays out the Wu Xing (Five Phases) system underlying Chinese zodiac and astrology — each phase with its seasonal bearing, core qualities, and how it generates or is checked by the others (e.g., wood feeds fire, water dampens fire, earth dams water). Thought this sub would enjoy a clean visual reference for how the elements interact.

The Fool Through The Empress: A Secular Look at the First Major Arcana Cards

An index card series looking at the first four Major Arcana through a secular, structural lens — no fortune-telling, just the archetypes and how they're numbered.

0 – The Fool – departure, unweighted risk, the open step

I – The Magician – will, means, the laid-out table

II – The High Priestess – threshold, kept knowledge, the half-hidden scroll

III – The Empress – cultivation, increase, the field that yields

Treating the Major Arcana as a numbered sequence rather than a predictive tool. Open to discussion on how others read these first few cards structurally.

filed a birth date as a specimen sheet instead of a reading — sun/rising, both chinese pillars (year + month), pythagorean numerology, one arcana by digit-sum. curious how this sub reads the day + hour pillars next to the numbers.

deterministic specimen card — same name + birth data in, same card out, every time. no interpretation layer.

I build a small static thing that files a person as a specimen sheet — western sun/rising, both chinese animals (year + month pillar), pythagorean numerology, day/hour pillars, one tarot arcana by digit-sum. No readings, no prose, no AI voice telling you what it means. Just the coordinates, filed. This is one card from the catalog (144 base configurations). Curious how this crowd reads a card that refuses to interpret itself.

I file people as deterministic specimen cards — three numerology rows, both zodiacs, zero interpretation

Small static thing I built. Life path · expression · soul urge on one row, personality · birthday · maturity on the next — plus sun/rising, both Chinese animals, day and hour pillars, and one arcana by digit-sum. No readings, no prose, no AI voice. Same inputs always produce the same card. These two are specimens from the catalog (144 base configurations). Curious how this crowd reads a sheet that refuses to interpret itself.

made a little deterministic "specimen card" generator — tarot major + chinese elements/zodiac + western signs + numerology, all from a name + birthdate. structural only, no readings. curious what combos people get

not a reading or a fortune — it just computes the symbols deterministically from a name and date and lays them out like a field-guide specimen card. you do the interpreting, not the app. here's one example. what does yours come out as?

(full disclosure: i built it.)
