I feel like I have gone through many losses and failures, and I sometimes I wonder if there are ways I can avoid such experiences or if they are inevitable. Death is inevitable, but the circumstances of loss are so painful

ETA: basically I am wondering if this chart can help me understand myself and last experiences, as well as maybe guide me now since I felt very lost in terms of career, love and even health🥹

learning more abt my BaZi chart really depressed me bc i thought that i was an earth dragon and thats a powerful sign but looking at my whole chart, i learned that im a candle in winter and need a lot of support and that im lacking metal and water. life did and does feel very "chewy" to esp. with career and money.

i come out of a very devastating RS and since 1.5 years im unable to get back on my feet - esp. in the money dept. i tried to work freelance for over 15 years but fail to just..... get success i guess. i do all the work, tenacity, sticking to it, i give in 100% but rarely get even 10% out as in earning money. i tried to get a regular job but even that doesnt work out atm - and im loosing hope and trust.

im aware that BaZi and all systems are for "fun" and should be taken as inspo not a reason to judge myself. however, im curious what perspective change is possible for me here.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the tension between who we are in public and who we are behind closed doors. I see it every single day when I talk to people in this community. We often build a public persona—a "surface layer"—that looks incredibly successful or put-together, but internally, we feel chaotic. Or conversely, we feel incredibly grounded in private, but struggle to project that competence to the outside world.

In our lives, the Stems represent our social reputation, our visible career achievements, and the personality traits that strangers pick up on immediately. If you have a lot of Fire up here, you might appear as the life of the party—vibrant, passionate, always moving.

But is that who you really are? That entirely depends on your root system.

The Hidden Root System (Earthly Branches)

The bottom row is your hidden reality. It’s the root system buried deep underground. You can’t see the roots, but they are doing the heavy lifting—gathering nutrients, anchoring you during a storm, and storing your deepest energy.

Your Earthly Branches are your true inner self. They are your private thoughts, your subconscious drives, and the reality of your life behind closed doors.

When The Leaves Don't Match The Roots

The real magic of reading your chart—the "signal in the noise"—happens when you compare these two layers. This is where we find our deepest contradictions.

Scenario A: Beautiful Leaves, Rotten Roots I see charts with incredibly wealthy, powerful elements on the Stems, but weak, chaotic elements in the Branches. This is the person who drives a leased luxury car and posts flawless vacation photos (the leaves), but whose bank account is overdrawn and who is drowning in private anxiety (the roots). It's a fragile ecosystem. One strong storm, and the tree falls.

Scenario B: Bare Leaves, Deep Roots Then there's the opposite. The Stems look plain, average, maybe even struggling. But the Branches are packed with highly productive, grounded elements. This is the "stealth wealth" individual. They might drive a 15-year-old car and wear plain t-shirts (the leaves), but they secretly own 10 rental properties and have an incredibly secure, calm, and fulfilling private life (the roots).

Your Zodiac Animal is Just One Root

When we first get into Chinese Astrology, we often obsess over our birth year animal. "I'm a Dragon," or "I'm a Pig."

- The first & most place to look at is Life (top left square in Taylor's chart) : she has no big star (right under "Life" text, unlike other squares ie Wealth/ Career / Travel etc). We call this "vô chính diệu" / 命宫无主星 (The Life place has no major stars). This suggests she's not a very strong-opinion person and instead can be easily influenced by surroundings (ie family, friends, partners, colleagues, team members). When a person with "vô chính diệu" / 命宫无主星 (Life place has no major stars), they will 'borrow' influence from big stars in other places

- The triangle of Life is Life - Wealth - Career. Opposite to Life (inside, mind) is Travel (outside, surrounding). Since Taylor's life place has no major star, she will borrow influences from stars in other places that heavily influence life (namely Wealth, Career which make a triangle, and Travel which is opposite to Life). Her stars in Wealth, Travel & Career are excellent. When she goes out (Travel square, opposite to Life square, bottom right square), she is the sun (shining bright) and she used her mouth (Cự Môn / Giant Gate / 中的巨门星). Add in Life square's Văn Khúc / Melody Literature star / 中的文曲星, and we could see why she would make an excellent singer-songwriter! (She has star about Arts in Life square, when she goes out she is the sun and she uses her mouth to sing)

- Let's look at Wealth square (2nd row from top, first left). Above the text Wealth is Thân/ 身宫/ Body Palace. Meaning everything Taylor Swift does is for her wealth, her money. Life square is about how we think (she is not strong opinion, easily influenced by others, and need to travel/ go out to find her inspiration being the singing sun), meanwhile body is about what we do (she does things to get rich, to make money). And she makes a lotttttt of money, with BIG positive stars right under Wealth (Thiên Cơ / Heavenly Mechanism / 中的天机 - The Profound Secret/ Opportunity + Thiên Lương / Heavenly Beam / 中的天良 the conscience within star)

- OTOH, she has a combo of Cô Thần / Lonely Spirit/ 孤辰 Solitary Star in Life Square + Quả Tú / Widowhood / 擎羊 Widowhood star in Wealth square. This suggests she is lonely, misunderstood, unable to connect with people around her. It's giving Britney Spears' Lucky MV. She also has a combo of Hoá Kị / 化忌 Star of Friction in Life Place (lots of drama, unnecessary gossip) + Phục Binh / Hidden TroopS/ 埋伏 Ambush Star in Wealth Place (sneaky enemies, jealousy, deceiving).. This explains why she has met so many enemies and drama over the years, including legal issues.

- Her brother (Huynh Đệ place / Siblings place - top row, 3rd from left square) has the worst luck. There are 6 big worst stars (Địa Không, Địa Kiếp, Hoả Tinh, Linh Tinh, Kình Dương, Đà Là) - Taylor's brother has 3 out of those 6 (Hoả Tinh, Địa Không, Kình Dương). He also meets another bad star (Địa Kiếp) in Tật Ách / Sickness Place, which is in a triangle of Siblings - Sickness - Property. He might have some health issues, and his life might have plenty of ups and downs. It almost feels like since Taylor has so much good, her brother is carrying plenty of the bad to balance things out. If I were to advise Taylor, I would say she needs to take very good care of him, and give him plenty of property/ wealth

- She is now entering 34-43 age era (Property Place, bottom right square). The Property square itself is fine, but it is in a triangle with Siblings (which is her worst place) - Sickness (not good but also not too bad). Overall this 34-43 age period will not be as good as the previous period (24-33 age). A lot of issues ahead, and she really needs to take good care of her brother, and her mother too.

- Back to the marriage: I feel like there is love between Taylor and Travis, but the decision to marry feels more like a 'it's time' decision. Does she love him, I say yeah. Does she marry him out of love, I say nah not really. Remember, Taylor does everything for her money, including this marriage decision. Will this be a lasting marriage? I sense troubles and drastical changes in 2028
