F45 - 1 Month on Reta: Slow scale progress but nice body recomposition (5 surgeries later)

Hi everyone! Please excuse my English as it’s not my first language.

I wanted to share my first month’s progress on Reta. I started with 0.5mg for two weeks and then moved up to 1mg for the last two weeks.

To give some context: I’m 45 years old. My height is 163 cm (5'4"). Last year I had a very serious accident. I spent two months in the hospital, went through 5 surgeries, and spent months in a wheelchair. I’m just now transitioning from crutches to walking on my own. I also take 500mg of NMN daily and do weight training 3x a week + Pilates.

My 1-month results (April 17th to May 15th):
Weight: Starting 73.4 kg (161.8 lbs) Current 71.6 kg (157.8 lbs). Total loss: 1.8 kg (4 lbs).
Waist: -4 cm (-1.6 inches)
Hips: -7 cm (-2.8 inches)
Body Comp: My muscle mass went up slightly, and fat % went down.
Even though my clothes fit much better, the scale feels a bit "slow" compared to the super-responders I see here.

I have a few questions for the community:

  1. For those in my age group (40s), did you find the start to be this slow?
  2. Does it get faster as the dose increases?
  3. Any tips to break through? Should I drink more water? Walk more?

I’m happy to be recovering my life after the accident, but I’d love to hear your experiences and advice!

Thanks!
