Hi, so my boyfriend got a new Lenovo LOQ laptop and from the start there is a problem with the wifi connection. Sometimes it is fine but sometimes the ping goes up to 999 from nowhere, while on previous laptops this was no issue.

I read about the wifi card that is in it (Mediatek 7920) and saw a lot of negative rewievs. We tried to use an external wifi card while disabling the one in the laptop but still the problem is there.

Is there anything that we can do with this problem?
