So since the past couple of days my laptop has been taking insanely long to boot up. I turn the screen on, it's just a plain black screen. I force restart a few times and then it starts. Tinkering with gemini and it tells me my laptop is stuck is No POST Freeze. I've used the novo pin, turned off quick start, run repairs, i don't know what's wrong with it.
Can someone help?
I was aware of the fact that loqs are pretty notorious for their motherboard death issue before I bought one, i7 13700hx 5050 variant.
Previously I owned an acer gaming laptop r5500u, gtx 1650 and had many hands-on cleaning and repasting experience on it so I'm confident that I will keep this machine alive until I have squeezed every last bit of it.
Here's what I do
- bought a laptop stand first
- I always use my laptop in custom mode with all the short term power hikes set to lowest, cpu on 40W and gpu on 55W
-I have the HWinfo software running in background to track the temps while I'm working or when the laptop is idle and msi afterburner for games.
-I prefer gaming in a space where the ambient temperature is around 20°C (mostly in studios after the class ends)
After doing all this the laptop stays
Around 30°C - 40°C on normal working load like PDFs, youtube, ai softwares and all running in background, 50°C- 70°C on mild load like games which don't take a lot of cpu usage( currently playing Control with medium settings ray tracing on with temps hitting maximum 65°C on both Cpu and gpu
It rarely goes to or beyond 80°C on loads when I'm rendering or playing something which wants all of my laptop
I think the major difference in the temps is because of the ambient temperature, when I use my laptop in my hostel room which doesn't have an ac the temps I told you increases by 5°C
It's been 3 months since I bought the laptop let's see how far I can go
i am using high settings and i have turned both dlss and fg .i have also capped the fps to 60 from nvidia app.sometimes i face stuttering .but when i dont limit the fps i got over 100 fps using dlss and fg at that time my cpu and gpu temps are around 69-71 and it doesnt stutter.so what should i do?should i play it by limiting the fps to 60 or should i play it without limiting the fps.i did undervolting as you can see.
I have LOQ 15 R7 250 with RTX 5050, and i jus read somewhere that keeping the charger on all the time helps in maintaining the battery health since there is no movement of ions, i have been doing this for month but when i take it to college and use it unplugged it wont give enough backup( smart ipgu mode toggled on) on balanced mode, however it does show 8 hrs remaining if used on silent igpu and battery saver on !
Should i keep doin this or stop it ?
That's temps and wattage when I am playing spiderman 2 on high preset, and dlss frame generation to quality. I don't know anything about gaming nor have I tried before, just trying to live childhood dreams, btw I have Ryzen 7 250 24gb rtx 5050 1tb
Tried using fevibond, but it didn't work. Failed 5 times
Ik there are so many posts about this but they are doing something overnight either downloading game or running services? But they haven't kept in charge while the laptop is shut down.

Hey everyone, here is the situation: I own a Lenovo LOQ with a 13th-generation processor, an RTX 4050, and 24 GB of RAM. I purchased it for ₹72K. A few days ago, the charging socket and port overheated. The laptop began blinking red on the charging indicator and blue on the power button. Customer service said they would replace either the laptop or the motherboard.
The question is whether an exchange would provide a model in the ₹72K range or a replacement now priced above ₹1 lakh.?
