NCL Strict Rules

Just about to get off Norwegian Prima, which is a really pretty ship. Last time we've sailed on NCL was in 2023 and I gotta say that the rules NCL has implemented have become really disappointing and annoying.

First of all, we were told that bartenders can get in trouble if they create drinks, so you can't just go to a bar and ask your bartender for a drink creation, we found that to be really unfortunate.

On top of that, I got sick, probably Norovirus during the cruise and had to go to the medical bay for consultation. Their first assessment was a viral infection: no covid or influenza. So they didn't put me under quarantine. I arrived at the medical bay at 6:00 PM and got discharged at 10:30 PM with a bill for 3800 USD$, all the restaurants except the local were closed. I tried asking guest services for room service fees to be waived for this dinner since I was feely horrible. They told me they can't do that, protocol requires me to be charged for room service unless I'm under isolation. So I spend 3800$ at the medical center for an IV, consultation and some medication and you're asking me to pay an additional 10$ for a meal, thats ridiculous to me.

I was later placed under isolation the next day and was able to order room service for free. But even though I had the Free At Sea + which cost me an additional 450$ for the week per person, they wouldn't bring me any water bottles to the room for free, as room service water bottles are not eligible under FAS+. Even though I'm isolated and can't leave my room.

Overall really disappointed by the lack of empathy from the cruise line.
