Advice for a new build/upgrade

Hello,

my current pc can’t handle modern video games on high settings and Nvidia doesn’t update my driver anymore, so i want to upgrade.

Since my last build was in 2018 and my motherboard only supports AM4 socket, I would need to build a completely new pc.

Furthermore, I haven’t been following the gaming/pc industry since then and a bit overwhelmed with the current market situation. I simply cannot decide if the parts I want to buy are really worth it or overkill.

The main thing I want to do with this computer is Gaming (FH6, MSFS24, GTA VI), but also some photo/video editing. And also, I don’t want to buy a completely new setup or expensive upgrade in the next 3-5 years.

These would be the specifications I am currently considering to buy:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800-/9850X3D (which one do I really need?)
GPU: RTX 5070ti
Motherboard: X870E socket (I have seen many similar builds with the B850, why?)
RAM: DDR5, 6000/6400 MHz, CL30-36
SSD: 1x 2-4TB & the ones from the old setup
Cooling: water cooling, 360mm (or 420?)
Power Supply: Be quiet! Dark Power 14 (850-1000W)

Are there any improvements or recommendations?
I would also welcome cheaper alternatives with similar performance.

Thank you in advance!
