Most recent build (FN-510) with vortex venom and crossbreed holster, one of the few iwb holsters for this pistol. Just got the holster today, trying it out. Galaxy watch, Gerber multitool, combat troodon (for emergencies only) and Ozark trail knife while I wait for my sog to get here. Misplaced my coldsteel verdict, so I grabbed the Ozark for something like $10 to get me by, then ordered the sog to be true replacement for verdict.

So I fell victim to the vortex venom vs vortex venom enclosed issue. I’ve always been an iron sights guy, so this is my first red dot. Bought both at the same time. Seller said it would fit. It does, but only with the delta point pro plate, not with the vortex plate (for those that don't know the venom enclosed has the ddp footprint apparently). There is the mrd 505 insert that the reference guide says is required for this footprint, but I dont see how. It looks like I can just screw it onto the gun without an insert. Is this correct, or should I look into a new red dot? Any help appreciated.
