My Dog is showing 3197alp, 976alt, 110ast in bloodwork
He has had an ultrasound which showed nothing, he spent the night hospitalized, was put on maropitant as needed, zeniquin 50mg every 24 hours, metronidazole 125mg/ml given 1.1ml every 12 hours. Amcxi/clav 250mg every 12 hours, and denamarin. He was also seen by the cardiologist who said he has DCM, which is strange because he has only had grain free food once for maybe a period of two months, and was also put on vetmiden. Our regular vet is unsure of the DCM diagnosis and is waiting to get an opinion from her cardiologist. His only symptoms were some weight loss , mild lethargy, and not chowing down food as normal which was the trigger for us to have him seen. He is now almost completely back to normal energy levels, eating very well and is overall normal. We had his bloodwork re done and levels are still high. We don’t know what the next thing to do, we really do not want to do a liver biopsy and don’t know what else can be causing these levels.
