Does good earpro reduce gunshot noise to completely safe levels? Put another way, how loud does the gun still sound while wearing it? I've never fired anything but a .22 rifle and with earpro I basically don't hear a thing when shooting -- but obviously that won't be the case with a larger pistol or rifle round. Just want to know what to expect.
Reading "Red Metal" right now, and I'm noticing Mark Greaney is making some glaring technical errors, in fact almost amateurish. Prime example -- in one aerial sequence, he has A-10s going to afterburner. Is this type of basic error something common to Greaney's novels? I'd always heard he was really good.
