DOG BITE WHILE DOORDASHING
A couple months ago I was dashing and went to a house. The notations on the app said go around the side but when I got there a sign said beware of dog . On the other side it said deliveries this way. I was never comfortable delivering to this place in the first place because I didn't want to meet this dog at all. When I went around the side a giant bulldog was on the porch. 2 kids no more then ten had the dog by a leash and all I could do was stare. I asked if the dog was friendly but then the dog decided to latch onto my arm and attempted to go for my nuts. I went back to my car and took pictures. The owner of the house came out and said what did he do this time? I have to assume this dog has done this before. She was fully cooperative and gave me all her info along with the dogs.
Today I was shocked that my lawyer was seeking 200k from the insurance company. Yes I was traumatized and yes I went thru pain and suffering. My question is with a 200k demand letter to the insurance company what should I expect. There is no resistance from the owner and I took all the pictures possible that built this case.
