I just got my first montero, 2000 gen 2.5, with about 225k miles. It is in pretty good shape overall, but at idle and low rpm it's pretty shaky. Plenty smooth at higher rpms, highway etc. not sure where to start with that one.

The 4x4 dash lights occasionally are flashing the front wheels when driving in 2H. I ordered a freewheel clutch control solenoid, which I heard can be a cause. Hopefully I'm lucky and that solves that.

Timing belt, ignition coils, spark plugs are all done. Is there anything else you all would look to get sorted if you bought a higher mileage gen 2.5?
