Angry at Immpact Litigation

Angry at Immpact Litigation

I just got this comment in my last post and i don’t think a simple reply would echo our frustration with Immpact and its team.

You guys have to understand that being elite doesn't pay the bills when your work permit expires, and this red state gamble just hit a brick wall.

Judge Grimberg denied the PI because he said we didn't show a substantial likelihood of success on the merits.

Here is the reality while people talk about justice: the 90-day pause was a lie because the court confirmed the hold is actually indefinite and did not end after 3 months.

National origin is now a significant negative factor since the court is letting USCIS use where you are from against you in your own application.

People are losing everything, like Layazali losing his F-1 status after graduation this summer and Khavandi being unable to start his medical residency. The judge literally said the government is fighting a battle of attrition against civilians. He is revisiting it in 60 days, but for a lot of us, that is 60 days too late. Stop acting like this is a game of chess when it is our lives on the line.

Change my mind, i guess. 🤷‍♂️

Poem for Immpact

The gavel falls with a hollow sound,

In a court where logic is rarely found.

Judge Grimberg speaks from a high, cold seat,

While lives are stalled on a one-way street.

"No likelihood of success," the order reads,

Ignoring the depth of the plaintiffs' needs.

The shadow of a single man in D.C.

Became a cage for those who would be free.

Because of one act, a "Policy Alert" rose,

Turning "high-risk" origins into permanent foes.

An "indefinite hold" that they claim is just a "pause,"

A ghost in the machine, a flaw in the laws.

Think of Khavandi, with a residency near,

Now watching his future dissolve into fear.

Think of Layazali, whose status will fade

When the summer heat hits the plans he has made.

The court sees "discretion," a "pragmatic" view,

But the "legal consequences" are coming for you.

"Wait sixty days," the Justice suggests,

While the "Benefits Pause" ignores all requests.

A "revisit" is promised if the hold does not lift,

As families are left in the legal snowdrift.

They talk of "vetting" and "screening" anew,

While the "indefinite" clock keeps ticking for you.

So let the anger rise like a tide,

For the rights that the "drastic remedy" denied.

The law is a lantern, or so they once said,

But today it’s a door that is bolted instead.

We won't forget the names on the page,

Or the lives kept inside this administrative cage
