Anyone here have experience with Naltrexone?

Went to my doctors this week and she gave me some info on different medications for cutting down/quitting alcohol. I’m considering Naltrexone.

I tried Champix a long time ago to quit smoking and it ended up just really pissing me off. The fact it took the feeling of enjoying a cigarette away just made me mad and I stopped taking it lol. Eventually quit with the patch.

Has anyone had that experience with Naltrexone? Is it similar? Or is it really life changing? Would love to hear some positive views!!

I’m also considering a low dose GLP-1 as I have 35 pounds or so to lose and I’ve heard it helps people with drinking.. but that’s not a sure thing and I’m not sure if I want the side effects that come with them.

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Bryce and Trinity are my favourite Love Island couple so far..

I’m not fully caught up yet. I have one episode left before catching up. But I really hope they are real. I find them both so endearing and genuine! Just love them.

For those of you who have fully quit… does it really get better and easier? Is life still fun?

37(f). I am dealing with terrible anxiety after a weekend binge on a camping trip with friends. Saturday we drank most of the day. I drank beer, wine, a shot, twisted teas. I was blackout by 11pm.
At one point sitting around the fire I brought up an embarrassing story about my friend, thinking he would find it funny. This isn’t normally something I’d ever do and I have no clue why I thought he would find it funny. Apparently you could see he was uncomfortable and I kept going. He got up and stormed away. I have apologized profusely and we are okay now but I just can’t get over the shame of having done that.

Then later on we were all sitting in the trailer and I was going on about problems in my relationship and sex life and having a heart to heart with him and my boyfriend. Another really embarrassing thing to think of.

To make it worse there was a sober person there who witnessed all of this sloppiness. I just feel so ashamed that I feel the need to get blackout sometimes and am not careful about my drinking.

I am once again considering quitting all together. I’m worried that life will never feel fun again though. Most of the time when I drink I don’t overdo it to that extent. But I am still drinking too much in general and doing damage to my body. Any advice?

Anyone else find it kind of funny that Jade explains these HUGE revelations about Fromville and what he and Tabitha figured out and Boyd’s just like “try harder” and then walks away lol. I would have thought his mind would have been kind of blown?

Rewatching the series and I’m currently watching the last episode. Hate that they killed Jenn off and feel like it makes no sense. What would have been a perfect ending for her would be to find her happy ever after with raising her daughter. Not sure why they had to give her a one year old daughter then kill her off. Just feels so cruel and unearned.
