26 College graduate, completely lost.
Finished my bachelor's last may (2025) with a B.S. in integrative studies, concentrations in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Foreign Relations and Poli Sci. Thought I did everything right; went to college, got good grades, graduated with honors, and then I entered the real world.
I thought I wanted to work for the government in some capacity but Elon started hacking away at all the jobs right as I graduated. From my graduation in May to October it was just endlessly applying for jobs in both the public and private sector. Finally got a job as an admin assistant for a security company only to get furloughed in March. So between March to now has been the same thing, endless applications, job fair networking, Coursera certifications, still no luck.
Have tried asking former professors for any help or advice and they werent able to provide much. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for them even being available to ask.
I feel lied to, misguided, anxious as all hell, and honestly my life is just upside down.
I'm lost, alone, on my final leg, no idea what it is I want to do or what I'm interested in anymore, ready to call it quits and jump off the bridge.
I have over a year of experience in construction, and can't even get a job in that.
