Just finished as a first time watcher
It was hard to finish after Marissa’s death. It slowed down the show a lot, and I wish they went in and showed more of what they made of their lives.
- I know Ryan became an architect but it would have been interesting to see who and how he ended up marrying, his family, the location, did he stay in Newport? That would have been tea and well you know etc
- I have a love hate relationship with Julie’s ending bc I love that she’s happy but does bullit being at her grad just insinuate that she ended up with him? And her and Frank just coparent? If so, how does that make sense when she chose to be alone because she wanted to be happy. One thing I hated about her character is how they always made it seem like she needed a man, ended with her choosing herself, and then panned to her again surrounded by men. Julie’s character was so strong it would have been better if they just ended it with her decision that she made
- I didn’t like the Ryan and Taylor storyline but them pointing out that they helped eachother made it more bearable
- it ended with the vibe that Seth never made anything for himself other than wait for summer when he was so creative during the last seasons, that’s what literally fueled their relationship… I know he wasn’t the best boyfriend but he was literally in highschool and never spoke to a girl before lol
- hated Teresa, and hated how they made everyone think her kid was Ryan’s, and even made him look like Ryan and then out of no where say it was her ex’s and they did a paternity test like that baby did not look like him at all 😭
- Caleb’s death surprisingly really got me???? I cried but I hated him so I was confused
- both sandy and Kiki’s affairs irked me so bad hahaha
- summer being the sandy cohen of the group was chefs kiss!!!
