What type of electronics should i buy while visiting china? What else should i buy?
After doing some extensive research on claude, it seems anker power banks and some anker chargers would be a safe bet: the discounts vs. what it costs in america is pretty large and there's less chance of failure (no moving parts). I guess i wouldn't get a warranty from it, but at least the risk is mitigated some.
I wanted to get the DJI osmo pocket 3 or 4 camera and maybe a drone, but i believe DJI drones are locked to china and the cameras have moving parts and the savings aren't substantial at all, so i guess i have to avoid that.
What other electronics should i consider that is low risk/a good deal?
Also going to buy some clothes and an extra luggage for the trip back and goods haul and maybe some tea. Besides electronics, what else should i consider getting?
I can't seem to be able to find a way to reserve a Mifi/personal wifi device in Beijing upon landing at the main airport
So i'm reading all these guides that there are a bunch of vendors that you can rent Mifis from (unfortunately my phone is locked for esim). I can't seem to find any vendors online that are recommended. Roamingman's China Mifi page has pickup in malaysia (???):
Klook says pickup only in hong kong:
There were a couple other vendors like that... what gives? Am i going to the right sites? Are there other vendors i could get this service from?
Is it possible to get a xiaomi bejing factory tour besides the lottery? Are there any high tech tours (factory or otherwise) you would suggest besides the xiaomi tour?
Apparently, it's hard to get the xiaomi tour in beijing, i couldn't google any info on it, but AI seems to suggest the only way to get it is through a lottery process (or ticket scalpers which i won't do)... getting info on google is impossible.
If i can't.secure a way to get in, are there any other high tech tours you guys might suggest while i'm in beijing that might be more realistic to get tickets for?
Can i have my hotel pickup my orders form jd.com and also give my order back to jd.com couriers (if i have to return them)? Also, can i return an item from a different city that i purchased from?
Hey guys, i'm travelling to Beijing in a couple weeks and visiting Harbin later. I'm thinking of buying some DJI equipment (camera, microphone, maybe a drone) while i'm in Beijing from the JD.com website. However, if something goes wrong, i'd like to return it when i get to Harbin. Is that ok?
And can i just have the hotel staff handle pickup for purchases and dropoff for returns?
THanks
