I have like 3 different (based on cover art) Volume 1 CDs and I want to know which is considered the best, or further, which is the best version out of all releases. I have a 2019 one from the bigcartel store, the red Chad cover, and another Chad cover that says remastered. I also know there is a vinyl and some other CD releases? What are the differences?
I’m building my own music library (totally legally) and am also a pretty new but dedicated Beatles fan and have questions about all of this different material. I’d like to have the definitive versions of each album in my library as well as all of the extras they’ve released over the years. I could use some help…
So I’m assuming the super deluxe releases are the place to start. If I’m correct, these come with the mono mixes, so for those albums I won’t need the 2009/2014 mono releases, right? So I would presumably download the mono release for the ones that don’t have super deluxe including Mono Masters for Past Masters. Now since these have loads of extra content, is there still more on the Anthology releases that mean I should download those as well?
