Scratched already :( & Verizon Total Equipment Coverage

I got mine 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I always used a case on my s22 ultra, but I was too excited and used the s26 before the case arrived 🙃

The ding on the frame happened from a drop on a tile floor on the 2nd day.

I got a case and thought I was safe, until a scratch happened yesterday that I can't explain.

I haven't dropped it since that day. I was sick in bed all week so I haven't left the house. It was never in a purse or next to keys. The only thing I can think of is maybe it got smushed against a corner of some furniture I moved while it was in my pocket. 🥲

I never used a screen protector on my phones before so I am looking for some recommendations. I used my s22 for years without a scratch on the glass or frame so I just assumed a case was enough. Apparently I got butterfingers now.

I have Verizon Total Equipment Coverage and I am wondering the best way to go about this. Should I get the screen replaced now or just use it and wait to see if more damage occurs later on?

Does anyone here have experience using Verizon TLC?

Edit: I want to go with ZAGG Glass XTR5 for their blue light filter screen protector, but I heard that stick on protectors might bubble over a scratch. Are protectors like Whitestone Dome better for a screen that is already compromised?
