Took this shot this weekend.
I was in a remote location under a sky full of stars, I downloaded the "EXPERT RAW" app form the galaxy store and put in constelation mode with the exposure setting on long.
I took 12 minutes to take this picture.

I upgraded from a Galaxy A54 5G after roughly two years of usage. The last time I had a flagship device was a decade ago with the Galaxy S6. I have forgotten what a long lasting battery is like because one charge lasts me an entire day without battery saver on. The device is snappy and doesn't lag at all. I'm not a big camera snob on phones because I have a mirrorless setup for photography but I do enjoy the camera on this phone. I've also really enjoyed the S Pen for doodling in Autodesk Sketchbook and taking notes.
I'm definitely looking forward to not needing to upgrade for a long while and get to actually enjoy using something nice for once. Should have avoided the midrange hole to begin with but live and learn as they say.
So my uncle dropped my phone the frame bent a bit and am pretty sure the watter resistance is not that good no more. Should i be concerned for issues in future?
I recently switched from iphone to Samsung and I love it! One thing I think iphone did better was pinned messages though. Is there any way I could do the same thing, rather than them just being at the first ones on a list?
I built this app that can replicate the NothingOS Atmosphere transition on any device running Android 13+. It has other transitions and each transition have reverse as well. It is super optimized and only works during locking and unlocking of the device and It is completely Open-source under MIT License.
Feature Highlights:
* Atmosphere Effect (NothingOS Atmosphere Effect)
* Frosted Blur (Simple Blur)
* Halftone (comic print style)
* Color Fill (Monochrom to Colorful transition)
* Canvas Sketch (Sketch to full image transition)
* Playlist (Have multiple wallpaper and switch automatically based on your own choice)
Version:
* Github hosts two main versions which are for android 13+ & android 16+.
* F-droid hosts version 13+.
* Play Store have version for android 15+.
You can download it from Github, F-droid and Play Store.
I would love to hear your feedback.
Hi guys.
Last Tuesday I got my s26 ultra. I was very happy setting it up but when I tired the speakers I was very disappointed. Comparing it to my honor magic 7 pro it sounds much worse (metallic, empty, no bass) and the Dolby atmos feature won't make a difference.
I already checked and a lot of people has been complaining about it on reddit.
If you have/had this problem please share and how did you fix it.
(I'm thinking on costumer service)
I bought the s26 ultra after reading reviews about camera quality. I've been disappointed in the images, even when using Camera Raw and Pro mode. The main issue is lack of sharpness; all photos taken with the autofocus don't compare with the sharpness I got from my old Pixel 7. I tried switching to manual focus, but relying on the green edge highlights when the camera detects in-focus still results in less than desirable results. The lenses are all clean. Anybody had similar experience, or advice for obtaining better results?
Other than using this button as eraser, what else this button do?
Hi everyone, I'm hoping to find some advice and see if someone else is facing similar issues / what the solution was.
I recently upgraded (a little over a month ago) to the S26 ultra from my S21 ultra (which I loved and did not want to get rid of tbh, it worked perfectly well, no scratches, no screen problems, no visible wear and tear... but unfortunately had to because of the security thing.)
I've always had Samsung phones and never had issues with them overheating, but I've noticed the S26 is getting pretty warm at the top half of the phone when I am using it to take pictures/videos or using the screen for a while (to play a game or such). All these things I did with my S21 too, but never had a heat problem. I also turn off my screen all the time.
My case is thin enough, but I don't know if I should be exploring something else. I don't have any new apps, I have taken videos for much longer amounts of time on my S21 without feeling any heat, etc.
Should I be raising this issue with my service provider (where I bought the phone from) as a phone issue? Or is there something I am missing that I need to solve myself?
Edit - As other comments have noted, instead of "overheating" (as I have never received a warning from the phone as such), it would be more appropriate to say it is getting warm.
Thanks for the replies! They help put it into perspective.
My home screen is gonna be so asymmetric
hi yall...
as samsung said, this phone should be a tank itself without a cover or screen protector, but I think its not ...
I have the cover in the photo, yes 12 euro cover .
I had it for my s23 and I swear I dropped it a loooot of time, hard and not, and it never shattered or something else, just little scratch on the metal corner, nothing else.
week ago I dropped my s26 ultra accidentally with the back and it shattered as you can see in the photos.
But the weird thing is that the cracks seem to be "under" the surface.
If I touch the cracks, I can't feel anything. It's completely smooth. There's no loose glass or anything, just a tiny piece of glass that broke in the center of the cracked area..
so my question is, was it the phone or the cover?
I have also a photo behind the phone in the cover but guys i mean... its smaller than a nail, even thinner than a paper... i don't think the problem was that.
I don't like screen protectors and prefer using my S26 Ultra naked as it is, but I don't know much about the oleophobic coating.
Is it totally fine to keep using the phone if the coating is completely gone?
What actually happens if it's gone? And if it is gone how can I restore it or get that smooth coating back on bare glass?
Also, does wiping the screen with a plain cloth strip or wear off the coating?
One of the big reasons for my upgrade to this phone was a weekend trip to Seattle, wanted to have a better camera to get pictures.
Thought I would share. I just point and shoot, no messing with settings or doing anything post shot editing.
Very happy with the results.
Hi, I'm having a problem with the Astrophoto mode on my S26 Ultra. When I use a long capture time, and even with medium capture times, I get this purple color in the corners that ruins the photo and makes editing much harder.
I took the photos in a desert with basically no light pollution, but the purple color still appeared. I also took a dark frame with the lens completely covered to check whether the problem was caused by the environment or the sensor, and the same purple color appeared in the dark frame as well.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem with their S26 Ultra, or is it just me? And if anyone knows how to fix or reduce it, I'd really appreciate your help!
I'll attach a photo of the dark frame and one of the astrophotos I took so you can see the issue.
Siento que en ocasiones en videos llega a saturar un poquito los altavoces es normal? O debo preocuparme? En general tiene buen sonido pero eso es lo único que me llega a molestar
Just got a S26 Ultra after coming from a iPhone 14. I used to have samsung then i switched to iPhone. I regretted it when my iPhone started acting up. Feels good to have a samsung again.
I recently upgraded to a S26 ultra today. I used smart switch from my s25 + and transfered everything 4 hours ago. My rcs messaging is now not working within Google messages. I have cleared the cash for Google messages and Google play services. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled. Updated phone and app. Verified my number. And tried boggling airplane mode like searches suggested. My apn settings are at default. And my Verizon service should support rcs messaging when using Google messages.
Anyone have this issues or found any fixes
Folks, was curious to ask whether you use your Galaxy S26 Ultra with or without case?
I have recently bought it and found it is appealing without case; Holds good in hands without being too slippery!
