Schedule for Yellow Train shows PSU SW/6th and College on Sunday 9/6 first train is 5:04am. Cool. When I try use trip planner from PSU SW/6th and College to PDX, the planner doesn't show taking the Yellow line to the Red line. I know I can walk to Pioneer Square to catch the Red but heavy suitcase. So can someone check the Trip Planner and see if it's glitchy or if the Yellow will actually run on Sunday Sept. 6th around 7am to connect to the Red? Thank you. **EDITED** I'm using Chrome/Macbook. Also Google Maps not showing the PSU/Pioneer Square Yellow to Red connection until after 10am even though the yellow schedule shows every 30 minutes starting much earlier in the morning I think TriMet is a'glitching.

I'm in my mid 60s and have a same-age gal pal whose been a "bestie" since age 19. We've seen each other quite a bit over the decades. She's a mom and grandma now. She's always struggled w/drugs and alcohol while managing to have a very successful high-powered/executive type career while a functional and mostly sober alcoholic.
Many years ago , her hubby got cancer and she started drinking (again) but hiding it from everyone while still managing to work. After hubby died, she quit her job and was in a 5-year cycle of drinking to near death, multiple hospital detoxes, multiple rehab s followed by immediate relapses. Brutal.
In 2022, she had 3 months sober, she booked herself for 3 weeks into a condo in Hawaii and invited me. We live in diff cities so would meet there. The trip was booked in April of 2022 and we were set to fly in late October of 2022.
In July of 2022, she started boozing heavily in and out of detox again and promised she'd be sober for the trip. We should have canceled the entire trip 2 weeks out when she was still boozing but she insisted she'd be sober and not drink on the trip. Stupid me.
She showed up at the destination airport so drunk I could barely get her into the rental car. After 6 nights of her being wasted, she was evicted from the condo by the management company and police. She spent 1 night in a rehab in Hawaii and then flew home the next day to the E. Coast USA. I stayed the rest of the 3 weeks.
She was in/out of detox/rehab again over and over in 2022, 2023 and most of 2024.
She got sober finally in early 2025 and came to visit me in my city in May 2025 and seemed to be sober/not drinking for the 10 days she stayed with me. She was exhausted but she seemed fine.
She has been sober from booze now for 16 months. So a month ago, we booked a trip for August 2026 to another country for 2 weeks. Flights were confirmed and we were working on lodging and tours.
But last week, late June 2026, she blew off her sobriety and drank again. She said it was a 3-day slip only and she's back working on sobriety. I do believe this (I'm close with her sister who tells me the truth). Still, I immediately canceled my tickets because I don't want to go through the hell I went through in 2022.
Am I the asshole for not trusting that this was a 3-day slip only and canceling the trip? She's quite disappointed but she says she understands. I'm just protecting myself from the risk of another nightmare vacation. AITAH?

Roadie 24 ice block question please (May 2026).
From googling, I know the 4 pound ice block from Yeti fits at the bottom of the Roadie 24 (new with drain plug! yay!) but curious if a 4-pound block also fits at the TOP or if it's better to have no ice at the top of 2-two pound blocks at the top? I think the 24 has symmetrical bottom and top dimensions but not 100% sure. Also, what about "Igloo" ice blocks? I have a bunch of these already. All I need is 5-6 frozen veg meals to stay cold for 5-6 days. Thank you.

Samsung S20, Android 13, GooglePhotos not "sharing" to any apps for texting/emailing/what's app. ALREADY CLEARED APP CACHE. Yes, I know it's possible to download the image then share. Yes, I know she could open the app, search for the photo, and share it. But her brain doesn't work like that. She needs to be able to open "photos," tap the photo, tap "share" and route it.
Phone is up to date w/software. App also says it's up to date.
I know I can back up all her data to Google then try to fix it by factory resetting the phone but she's 86 and can't consent to something she doesn't understand. Basically, she wants a new phone but she can't afford one. There must be a fix. Thanks.

1999 Georgena Terry Trixie (model is a hot pink mixte) with 3 x 9 cassettes- all shimano parts for brakes/shifters/derailleur. can a bike shop modernize this? The frame is great for me as a 5' tall elder. It's a step through. Thinking maybe I should upgrade it to modern parts (if possible) to simplify things and maybe deal less with cross chaining? Lately the chain is falling off sometimes. Thanks for all opinions before I take it to a LBS in Oregon.
