I made a free app for bringing your bike on Portland's public transit!
I got sick of manually calculating when I need to leave, or how long the trip will take. The app is called Modemix and it’s free.
If you have any feedback, please let me know!

This drove by me earlier today (Sunday). I couldn’t get a photo of the headsign but it also said 6S. I haven’t seen a word about this on TriMet’s website either.
I frequently, multiple times a week, use line 153. I knew about plans to eliminate this line due to low ridership since January and it seems to becoming more of reality. I tried my best to save this route.
I went back to using some of the more downtown-centric buses a couple months ago and it seems like they started really cranking the volume on the internal speakers. Anybody else notice this? The volume on the internal speakers, when the computer announces each stop? It's jarring and, at 5:30 AM, kind of painful. Maybe more of an issue when sitting near the back?
there, i said it. get the city and or counties and or state to put in a provision that some of the money the team has to pay for rent goes to Trimet to fund transit. easy.
Ya’ll are the real MVP’s of Portland. Thank you for your service! 🫡
P.S. I will submit compliments in the portal ✍️
Like 15 days ago, bus completely blew past me at a stop. It was on a weekend.
I called, only to get an automatic message that its closed, so I just submitted an online form on Trimet website and I got an email saying to call. I replied back saying all the exact details are in the form I submitted and to go off of the info I already sent.
So, two weeks later, after I pretty much forgot about it, got a reply telling me don't email us about those things, call us, and by the way, we're an 8-4 M-F sort of place. All the relevant details were provided in the form I originally submitted. Looks like a complaint is getting procedurally dismissed unless I carve time out of my day during those hours, wait 30 minutes, then hash out the details they've already been provided.

Really good read. Love the Massachusetts millionaire tax that goes to local and state transit needs!
I'm starting to think about my commute during this time and Trimet is looking like a good option. However, my usual Trimet route has me hop on a bus at the Rose Quarter TC. I'm wondering if Trimet has published any plans on shifting routes or times during this one month to account for major traffic on roads that their buses use, such as at the Rose Quarter TC. I suspect the buses won't be moving very quickly through here
