Edit the default panel in QuickStar?

When using QuickStar, is there a way to edit/modify the already default existing template? I fail to recreate the default theme myself. The reason is because I just want to change the button colors to blue(like in the screenshot), but without changing anything else.

Simply said I want the default quick panel, but with colour button blue only in quick panel.

"Wallpapers and style > Colors Palette > Basic colors" changes also other colors, that's why its not a solution.

If you are an old Galaxy phone user, does your phone start lagging now?

I had an experience previously where we bought a budget phone for family, and it started lagging after a year or a year and a half. Is this the same situation with other Samsung Galaxy phones? I currently have an S24 Ultra, but I am not facing any such issues. However, I am only getting 3 to 4 hours of screen-on time. It has very poor battery optimization. The battery drains drastically when I am not using it.

Galaxy Buds 4Pro: Painfully Uncomfortable

I have tiny ears. But I have never felt this uncomfortable using earphones. The size or perhaps the shape of the bulb does not fit in my ear and therefore it starts hurting only after a few minutes of usage. I am using it with the small sized ear tips.

Before this I was using Apple EarPods, and I liked the light feeling so much that most of the times I used to forget that I'm using them even though they're wired.
It has been 2 months since I bought these, and I'm still unable to fully enjoy the sound quality of Buds 4Pro because of the pain that I keep feeling. I bought these as I heard everyone talking how comfortable they are on the internet. And I don't think I can return these now.

Are there any tips that can help me with this condition? Are the Galaxy Buds 4 more comfortable than these?

I want to try using these without the ear tips, but removing the ear tips is another pain on its own. I have already made small cuts while trying to remove them, and I fear if I try harder I'll tear them apart fully.

Update: I tore the ear tips while trying to remove them. Then I tried using them without any eartips, but the ANC was not up to it. Although it felt light and comfortable. Then, I put on the large-sized eartips. Idk why, but it feels comfortable for now. But still, I don't think I'll be able to remove them without tearing them apart.

Any help is my device faulty I read online that I need to give the one ui 8.5 battery learning some time but this is ridiculous I'm extremely disappointed

OneUI 8.5 Camera app : Give us back "Object Eraser" without agreeing to AI ‼️

OneUI 8.5 update done.

And surprise! They moved Object Eraser to the AI assistant hence forcing us to accept their conditions of using it.

Give us back Object Eraser for non "AI bs" users !! (edit for those not understanding : AI bs is companies putting everything behind AI marketing. I know object Eraser was already some AI stuff, but it didn't require to accept online management. All was done offline.)

EDIT : Thx to Nyvronis comment , we can get our good old Object Eraser without AI assistant

Don't buy a new phone, just repair it.

Context: Day one S23 Ultra heavy user.

Last week I noticed my phone would turn off after reaching ~30% and would lose charge overnight.

Since I always use a case I didn't notice until now: when I removed the case, the back of the phone was peeling off due to the battery being swollen. Honestly didn't want to throw the phone away, it's still buttery smooth and in almost perfect condition.

Looked around and decided to give it a shot at changing the battery myself. I wanted initially to buy one off Amazon but I didn't personally trust it (despite having zero experience with battery replacement), I saw some people suggesting to buy it from ifixit.

50€, arrived yesterday, replacement wasn't that hard honestly, majorly thanks to the battery having a pull instead of being filled with glue and the glue of the back being already removed for most part by the swollen battery.

So far so good and nothing broke, phone feel like new, lost 0% overnight. Will have to see how its going after a month though because I saw some negative reviews about it, will comment an update in about a month.

Edit: grammar.

Samsung takes away more user freedom with the latest update of 'My Files'

Samsung is increasingly moving towards a one-size-fits-all constrained OS with less user freedom, and I don't like it one bit.

Since yesterday's update (2026-05-20) for Android 16, One UI 8.0, you can no longer smoothly open .txt files with your default text editor. Samsung has apparently decided that 'My Files' now overrides any user settings and opens the file with 'My Files' itself.

If you want to use your preferred editor, you now need to long press the file and choose it among several apps. There is no more 'always' option to set the default in the 'open with' menu, and the default apps menu in settings does not show an option for txt files.

For now my fix is to reset the 'My Files' app to factory defaults and reject future updates. In the long term I might look to a different OEM for my next smartphone.

Appreciate Samsung for listening to the customer

i am a vivid user of Samsung S series and i have work profile setup. I had found it difficult to switch personal and work profile by clicking on the tabs. I had raised this issue in feedback for adding into Samsung Goodlook or otherwise. I updated the phone for OneUI 8.5 and voila !!! I checked the first thing by opening the home and swiping and it worked. Thanks Samsung for making my life less difficult.

Why does battery message hugely overestimate?

Juat noticed today it said 3hrs 10 mins left whilst on 11% battery. Theres no chance this lasts more than 1 hour 30 at most?!
