I received HHS approval
Documents submitted : 01/12/26
DOS received on website: 02/17/26
HHS approval letter dated: 05/18
Not appearing on website, only updated by the lawyer.
Now I am drinking a bottle of champagne to celebrate 🥂🍾
They are still asking for us to actively speak to congress members on this issue
For those who got approved for J1 extension for boards, how long does it take to actually receive the updated DS2019? ECFMG said they would send it electronically, how does that work?
I saw 1 person from January got approved yesterday. Anyone else who applied in January got HHS approval?
Just wanted to check if there was any approvals for people who submitted the documents in early or mid January?
Has anyone considered extending residency for 1-2 months just in order to have some income and continue getting residency paychecks to support ourselves while waiting? Does anyone know about the feasibility of this while also having applied for boards extension? If anyone has any knowledge on this, please share

I had a question, is it possible for us to moonlight or even have a short term contract at our original home institution while we wait for waiver approval and on the J1 extension?
I do not know what to make out of this, but hopefully we will be seeing multiple batches recommendation in the coming weeks
So what this means if we were to get HHS recommendation today (which does not seem the case),we would be only getting fully waiver approval on the end of July, which already jeopardize any July starting date
