IISC Workload

So I am expecting an offer from IISC. I have been in corporate previously. However I felt the work to b repetitive and stressful in terms of stability(constant fear of layoff) and learning(no clear path) which led me give exam. I enjoyed my preparation a lot and didn't even feel like a hardwork. Wht should I expect from IISC Workload? Many people are scaring me. Like almost impossible to manage. Please guide me

So I have gate score of around 800. I have ai and cds tests but couldn't get good score and not expecting the program. But I can expect signal processing. If somehow I get that should I take that? I heard a lot on how tough that program is. I have few questions on that?

  1. Is it really v v difficult to maintain good gpa in signal processing? Keeping in mind that the person isn't frm electrical or electronics background? And Is frm pure cs.

  2. What percent of electrical/electronics we have to cover in signal processing (if I get to choose speech or computer vision modules)

  3. Does a person have free will to choose any module?

  4. Many ppl r saying sp guys aren't able to focus on placements at all. Is that true?

  5. How r the placements of sp?

  6. If I had to choose between sp and iitd minds which one shd I prefer? (I really want to stay within machine learning field, I don't want to drag my career towards electrical and electronics because I know I can't compete with those who have degree in it.)
