Worth using a financial advisor for private pension or just manage it yourself?
Set up a UK limited company this year and now looking at setting up a private pension properly.
Never done anything with a private pension before so a bit unsure on the tax side of it all and whether things work differently through a LTD company. For example do I take the money out personally and invest it, or does the business pay directly into the pension?
Not sure whether it’s worth going through a financial advisor or just managing it myself through Vanguard etc. Advisor I spoke to charges around 4% on the first £100k.
For people here that run LTD companies:
- Did you use a financial advisor?
- Is it actually worth it?
- Or is doing it yourself fairly straightforward once setup?
Would appreciate any advice before I commit either way.
