Hi guys :)
First time posting in this chat. I’ve been spiralling for a few weeks about my hair now.
Since Feb 2025 I have lost 140 pounds (10 stone, 63 kg) and my hair has been absolutely shit. It’s so thin and I’ve noticed that my ponytail is so thin. I cut my hair to get rid of split ends but it seems to still look worse.
I’ve always had thin hair but now it’s just ruining my confidence. I’ve been taking biotin and collagen so I know I’m not lacking in that and it hasn’t even made a difference anyways.
I take vitamin B complex, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin D. I don’t use heat on my hair and I’m low maintenance with it. My hair used to be very long, to the bottom of my boobs and now it’s to my shoulders. I will add some photos but I don’t have many from when it was long.my hair has always been thin but you can see it’s so much worse now
I don’t want to try minoxidil because it’s more of a lifetime sort of thing. And I’ve tried hair oils. My protein intake is between 100-130g per day and my cals for my rest days are around 1900 and 2200 on active days. I’m really taking care and following steps but I don’t know what to do.
The shedding isn’t as bad as it once was but I just am lost and I’ve order a clip in ponytail because I’m just so upset :(
