National Parks Service Message

Hello all!

I worked for Xanterra twice. Once in the summer of 2022 and the summer of 2024.

I don't remember much of 2022 as it was cut short due to the flooding but in 2024 I remember a staff wide meeting with the NPS rangers right at the start of the season. They went through their whole spiel about the animals and how to stay safe in the park taking selfies ect. The one thing that stuck with be though was the fact that Yellowstone National Park has the most rapes amongst employees than any and all of the other National Parks combined (based on their statistics I believe).

Xanterra is the largest contractor in the Park and holds the most amount of employees. Due to their shoddy background checks, obviously people are slipping through and committing very serious and dangerous crimes.
