Why does most of the paint in my house peel like this?

Why does most of the paint in my house peel like this?

This picture is from an interior door and peels like this. A lot of paint in my house does this. When I went to paint my daughter’s room, the paint came off the walls like this, right down to the drywall. After 6 years of owning this house I am ready to paint everything since my kids are mostly done destroying the walls. I ended up paying someone to finish up my daughter’s room but still has the same issue, not as bad though. I live in South Florida, idk if that matters or not. I only have experience with painting/priming and staining in NJ and never had this issue. Do I just pay someone to do it or is there any easy fix/solution/correct way where my wife isn’t yelling that the house is taking a year to paint and is a complete disaster?

Thank you in advance for the help/advice.
