I built this pc several months ago (9070 with 7600x) and as of last week it’s been consistently having driver timeouts or crashing during games (specifically Overwatch, league, windrose as of now). I took the following steps in order
- undervolted the gpu
- matched the clock speed to the manufacturer spec
- changed the ram settings in bios from expo to auto (I believe this turns off xmp)
- used DDU to reinstall the drivers
- completely reset the pc and wiped everything using windows recovery
Since this only started happening recently I was thinking it might be a driver/software issue but the reset still didn’t fix it. If it’s relevant, the pc was working fine about two weeks ago, I went on vacation for a week and came back and these issues started happening. There is no chance of hardware damage during that time but I was wondering if it could have been a windows or amd software update in that time frame that caused this. Thanks in advance
