Micro stuttering in certain games and bad 99% lows.
I've just bought my first ever gaming pc after being a longtime console player. Im not PC savvy at all. Specs are:
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
Asus prime B850M-A WiFi
32GB DDR5 6000mhz ram RGB (I actually ordered Corsair but they sent me XPG) 😐
1 TB WD Blue SN5100 M.2
RX 9070 XT
850 Coolermaster Gold PSU
Be quiet pure rock 3 CPU cooler
I have a LG monitor that supports 144hz and adaptive sync, so I'm capping the frames via rivatuner for the most part at 141. Most games run fairly smooth with the occasional hiccough but arc raiders micro stutters a lot.
I've updated chipset, updated bios, fresh driver install, tried many different things but it doesn't seem to fix it.
I bought it as a pre built but chose some of the parts myself, I'm a bit pissed off that they sent me XPG ram when I ordered Corsair.
Also they shipped the GPU separately to avoid damage, it was packaged up as if new but the part where you screw in it had blackening on as if it has been used before 😬
Thinking of returning it if I can't get a fix at this point.
I bought a pre built thinking it would just work but it seems that isn't the case 😭
Any advice welcome. Cheers.
Ryzen 5 5600G crashes/reboot loop whenever AMD graphics driver installs — Safe Mode works
I’m honestly losing my mind with this issue.
System:
Ryzen 5 5600G (integrated gpu ), no gpu windows 11
Problem:
Windows suddenly started crashing/reboot looping during normal boot. Safe Mode works perfectly fine.
After using DDU, Windows boots normally using Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. But the moment I install AMD graphics drivers again, the system crashes again during installation or next boot.
Things I already tried:
- DDU multiple times in Safe Mode
- AMD Cleanup Utility
- Disabled Windows automatic driver installs
- Disconnected internet during installs
- Removed C:\AMD folders
- Disabled XMP/DOCP in BIOS
- Tried latest AMD drivers
- Tried reinstalling drivers offline
Behavior:
AMD installer crashes around 37–38% or sometimes 98%
• Screen goes black
• After reboot, Windows enters repair loop again
• Safe Mode always works afterward
• No error code
At this point I’m trying to figure out:
> Is this a corrupted Windows driver store issue?
> Broken AMD Adrenalin version?
> Something specific to 5600G APUs?
>Would manual Device Manager driver install work better?
>Should I just reinstall Windows cleanly now?
Would appreciate any ideas before I wipe the whole OS. HELP ME PLS!
all my games have a really bad shimmering effect in the video i show all my settings in adreniline and in game. i play at 1080p with a rx 9060xt 16 gb
it does it in everygame and it really just makes me not want to play because all my games look use of bad because of it
Is my RX 6800XT dying?

GPU Drivers: Adrenalin 26.5.2
Chipset Drivers: AMD B450 CHIPSET DRIVERS VERSION 8.05.04.516
Background Applications: None besides game launchers
Description of Original Problem: I have been having stability issues on my pc when gaming. The system will randomly freeze completely, then shut down video signal and become completely unresponsive. The system then needs to be forced off by holding the power button.
After a lot of testing, I have noticed the system seems mostly stable when I limit GPU core clocks to 1800mhz (slightly below base clock). Between 2000 and 2200 (which should be default game clocks?), it is very unstable. And at 2444mhz (factory OC), it is unstable but seemingly slightly less so (could be a fluke)?
Troubleshooting: I have followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps (running two seperate 8 pin connector cables from PSU, clean driver installs, older drivers, all of the software tweaks incl. windows re-install, XMP off, etc.), but the issue persists. I used to run the card slightly undervolted but right now everything is default (no undervolting or overclocking anywhere except XMP RAM).
Any ideas what could be the issue? Is my card cooked?
How to take 4K screenshots?
Hi.
how to take 4k screenshot, is there anything like ansel for amd. i switched my nvedia gpu to amd recently and I'm trying to take high resolution screenshots, but can't find any info on how to.
(RX 7700 XT) Why are my scores better without touching the VRAM?
I just got this card 5 days ago coming from an RX 6600 and I'm still learning about it. I found out that the silicon lottery for its VRAM is very real and I only managed to do 2350 MHz until it starts crashing.
I used TechPowerUp's overclocking guide and while testing I noticed that I get better scores without touching the VRAM.
Here is the result.
Is this score good?
PSA: How to ACTUALLY update/downgrade your chipset drivers.
Notes:
1. This might affect your AMD GPU drivers. I have an Nvidia gpu so I have no issue there.
2. You do NOT need revo anymore.
I noticed when trying to install some different chipset version that I would get errors, saying it can’t continue due to missing files, etc.
The fix:
- Uninstall your chipset drivers normally (just close, don't click restart)
- Delete the folder “AMD” in its entirety from "C:\AMD" and "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD".
- Install your preferred chipset version and click restart this time
I’ve seen a lot of people only delete “qt_dependencies”. This is NOT enough anymore. If you want a clean chipset, delete the 2 entire amd folders.
If you wanna go a step further:
Download driverstoreexplorer and AFTER doing step 2, open the program, select your leftover amd driver files (there can be a lot of them the first time you do this), check the box on “force delete” and then delete them. Then continue with step 3.
Why the extra step?
First of all, amd always leaves 3 drivers on your pc. Usually it isn’t an issue, but for a full clean slate we get rid of them
(But hey, you said there can be many of them. Now you only mention 3?)
If you installed your windows with your internet connected, (or ran windows update BEFORE installing your chipset drivers, windows update will have already thrown files in there. They do NOT get removed by amd. They’re permanently there until you manually get rid of them with driverstoreexplorer. If you wish to get them back, just run windows update after uninstalling your chipset with amd. Simple as that.
Updates beyond 26.3.1 are unstable, don't install
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
GPU: PowerColor Reaper 9060 XT 16gb
Stay on 26.3.1. I updated to 26.5.2, thinking that they've fixed the black screen problems when playing online multiplayer games.
Nope, still there.
P.S. Please don't tell me to switch to Linux, my friends and I play multiplayer games with kernel-level anticheat because they're the only games playable on everyone's systems.
Bought an Rx9060xt 16GB and all games look horrible at ultra settings. Need help.
This is need for speed heat, as you can see the water has a weird outline, and when I hover my camera over it, it creates a strange ghosting effect, games look grainy and meshy as if someone rubbed my monitor with sand paper, I’ve saved up a lot for this gpu hoping it’d be a upgrade from my gtx 1650 but honestly games looked way better on that thing than they do here, I’ve tried everything from sharpness settings to abusing almost all features in adrenaline, I’m running the game on ultra
This is the case in almost every game, some it’s less obvious while others it’s pretty aggressive, and I’m afraid it could be a hardware issue, I’ve reinstalled drivers over a billion times with and without the adrenaline app, no changes. It’s genuinely driving me crazy, games look grainy and horrible, is it hardware ? Is the cpu and gpu mismatch ?
Your support would be greatly appreciated it.
My specs : i5 9400f
16GB ram 2400mhz
Rx9060xt

256gb ssd ( that’s where the operating system is I also have a hard drive for more storage but this game is on the ssd )
Lg 27 inch VA curved monitor
games crashing constantly and idk why
I recently tried switching to linux, turns out it didnt support an anticheat for two games so i switched back to windows. fresh install, got all of my drivers installed and up to date, even went back to a later version to see if that was the issue. ive verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled. tried tweaking some windows graphics and display setting as well as settings on steam. i cant figure out why both games ive tried to play (cs2 and rust) have crashed. never had this problem before, dont have and problems with my fps and i know my system can definitely handle both of these games no problem. i dont get a crash report or anything, the games just freeze for a sec then closes. im on windows 11 home if that means anything, running a radeon rx7800xt gpu and amd Ryzen 7 5800X cpu, 25.12.1 adrenalin edition
Help with 1% lows
I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point as it's affecting most modern games I play, FH6, Marathon, Diablo 4, etc. I have a 5800x3d, 9070xt, 32gb 3200MHz RAM, ReBAR is turned on, 9070xt is tuned a little (-5% power limit and my own fan curve). I understand the 5800x3d is getting a little old, but I bough it recently (December) because I was having major stutter issues with my old 5700g. The 5800x3d has helped, but not nearly as much as I would've hoped. Any suggestions on how to bring up performance? 1% lows specifically, as I hate the constant stuttering. For reference I'm running FH6 in this screenshot, 1440p, FSR 4.1 Quality and Ultra no RT settings.
Computer Type: Desktop

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 Home 10.0.26200
GPU Drivers: 26.5.2
Chipset Drivers: AMD B550 CHIPSET DRIVERS VERSION 8.02.18.557

Description of Original Problem: Poor 1% lows on a lot of games, namely Forza Horizon 6 and Marathon. Recently upgraded from 5700g + 3080 10gb to 5800x3d + 9070xt, average fps is way better, but a lot of stuttering
Troubleshooting: Enabled Rebar, XMP, tuned 9070xt (-5% power and custom fan curve)
Whol PC drops to 15 fps after opening certain apps
My PC seems to be getting locked at around 15 fps. It first started when I opened CS2. The game launched fine initially and was running at 200+ fps but as soon as I moved my mouse the FPS instantly dropped to exactly 15 and my entire PC/desktop also dropped to extremely low fps.
I opened AMD Adrenalin and it says my 9070 XT is at 100% utilization with 3000+ mhz clock speeds even while sitting on the desktop. The weird part is my temps stay around 50-55C, so the utilization/power/clocks don’t seem to match.
Task Manager shows completely different numbers than adrenaline, usually around 5-20% GPU utilization.
Things I’ve already tried:
- Reinstalled AMD drivers normally
- Reinstalled again using Factory Reset
- Cleared shader cache
- Verified CS2 game files
- Disabled Wallpaper Engine
- Closed SteelSeries GG / Sonar
- Checked monitor refresh rate (280Hz is set correctly)
The desktop sometimes feels normal after rebooting, but as soon as I launch CS2 and move my mouse the whole system goes back to 15 fps.
I have no clue what is causing this. I’ve heard about DDU uninstaller before and am thinking about trying that, but I’m not at all familiar with the process.
Any help would be appreciated.
Does DDU clean anything AMD Cleanup Utility does not?
If all I'm doing is prepping for an AMD driver update, and not switching from Nvidia to AMD (and have already used DDU once to clean out all the old Nvidia stuff), is there any reason not to just use AMD Cleanup Utility moving forward? It strips everything down to the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" driver, so there's not even any AMD leftovers before installing the new version of Adrenaline.
Bad stuttering on FH6 good PC running Nobara Linux
Hello!
I recently purchased FH6 for around $120 and I have a special place in my heart for Japan as I used to be stationed there.
Loving the game, but its constantly stuttering when driving.
I recently made the switch to Linux running Nobara.
Please see my specs attached in the image.
I have a good PC, but I am CONSTANTLY getting stuttering while driving around like other people are reporting.
I had the exact same issue when running windows before switching to nobara.
I also had this issue on FH5 and just gave up on it.
I have never had this issue with any of the other 200 or 300 games I have.
Things I have tried:
-Disabling vSync
-Uncapping FPS
-Capping FPS
-Lowering Environment geometry/detail
-Literally lowering the settings all the way to their lowest
-updating, removing, and reinstalling the Mesa package
Something I'm having trouble doing:
I wanted to try to see if I can disable AMD anti-lag.
My problem is that I cannot download adrenaline as it isn't supported on nobara.
I couldn't find any way to get this fixed as I see its worked for others using adrenaline.
If you could please help me figure out how to disable AMD anti-lag on linux OR absolutely ANY other fixes it would be greatly appreciated!
I just want to make the stuttering go away.
Thanks guys!
Guys, hear me out! Check your monitor cables! (DisplayPort in my case)
I had tons of issues with my 7900XTX lately. It wasn't clear as day, occassional crashes, driver timeouts, the usual that probably still will happen. But something was weird, crashes happened more often and many games, like Helldivers 2 suddenly started crashing randomly a lot as well.
(I know it has a thing to crash for many).
But 3 weeks ago, I even had my first crashes in my beloved simracing games, which is hella annoying to lose Driver and Safety Rank, due to a game crash.
I was tinkering with everything, driver settings, cleaned everything with DDU, again, and again... after this whole year already many times. There was even a clean windows installation in between, I turned my DDR overclock down, I tried basically everything.
Sometimes I thought it's a little more stable, but the occassional timeout still came after a while.
But some crashes tended to get worse, I was actually fearing my 7900XTX might be dying on me. Now it even started happening on desktop, very briefly, an occassional black screen. Just for a mere second.
First time was a little shock, second time started to piss me off, than once watching movies.
Well, after 2 weeks and 2 or 3 more, maybe once a day blackscreens I decided to buy 2 new displayport cables for 2 of my 3 monitors.
What shall I say?!
It might be a placebo, but not only could I play all games all day long. I kind of have a weird feeling that my old cable caused a very, very little bit more stutter? Like, some framedrops??
Everything almost feels smoother... like, to a very, very small degree.
So here is my reminder, check your Displayport cables, this one was a tad bit older by now, maybe 8 years or something. Seems like it was causing issues, and I mean, causing issues to basically make my system crash. Couldn't trust to keep it running when I had 3 driver timeouts in a row.
I really wonder, if all the problem solving, those hours of fixing were all wasted, just because one of my DP cables seemingly has an issue.
Weird stuff happening with my igpu
Hi! I recently sold my 4070 Ti Super to buy a 9070 XT, but I'm going to get the money in like.. 48 hours? Anyways, yesterday I remembered that my Ryzen 9 7900x has a igpu! So I turned on my PC and played like normally, some overwatch even some heavy games like re4 remake in low graphics! I was very very happy until now. I turn on my PC and I'm having some weird artifacts from doing basic stuff like opening windows tabs, or Firefox. I thought maybe it was some problems with the drivers so I uninstalled them and installed the latest and drivers through AMD App.. but it didn't worked, the artifacts aren't happening too much but I'm getting a lot of "Drivers timeout" or something like that with a lot of black screens randomly.. I did all I could, DDU, default drivers, AMD drivers, windows drivers.. but the igpu doesn't want to work like yesterday.. I'm worried about my cpu, I've never had this problem before and my cpu works amazing in every game or blender benchmark.
New drivers bug (help)
downloaded new drivers, after that every game started running 10 fps, i tried to install old one back, didnt help, then i reseted shader cache didnt help, and finally i did ddu cleanup and everything is still unplayable. Does anyone know how to fix this?
edit : games run normally when windowed but when entering fullscreen it starts lagging, I got wukong running normally after deleting the old shaders for it.
RX 9070 XT LOW FPS ISSUE
My PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT
When I launch a game for the first time, it starts at around 15 FPS. Then I close the game and open it again, the issue disappears and the FPS returns to normal.
Like: When i launch, Cyberpunk 2077 launches at 15 FPS both in the menu and in-game, sam for games like valorant, cs2, rivals etc., after restarting the game once, everything works normally.
*Integrated GPU disabled*
