New PC randomly hard-shutting down — PSU, motherboard, GPU, or something else?

I recently built a PC that intermittently shuts off completely with no BSOD, as if the power was pulled.

Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi
XFX Swift RX 9070 XT
MSI MAG A850GL 850W PSU
32GB DDR5-6000
Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe
Lian Li DAN A3
Windows 11

Symptoms
Shutdowns have occurred during:
Windows installation or login
BF6 and Wardogs
Several hours of gaming
Combined CPU/GPU stress tests
Cold boot
After some shutdowns, the motherboard shows a red CPU EZ Debug LED; other times it boots normally. The issue is highly inconsistent.

Troubleshooting
I have:
Reset BIOS defaults and cleared CMOS
Disabled EXPO, PBO, and overclocking
Reseated the GPU and checked all power connections
Used two separate PCIe cables for the GPU
Tried another wall outlet
Checked for cable tension and GPU sag
Tested with the side panel removed

Stress tests
OCCT CPU and GPU tests have passed, but a combined Power test has caused a shutdown. I later completed a 30-minute Power test successfully, yet gaming can still trigger the issue. The CPU reached about 89°C during testing.

Drivers and Event Viewer
The system seemed stable in Safe Mode and after removing AMD graphics drivers with AMD Cleanup Utility. Reinstalling the driver caused another shutdown, although the issue later returned after another reinstall.
Event Viewer only shows Kernel-Power Event 41:
BugcheckCode: 0
PowerButtonTimestamp: 0
LongPowerButtonPressDetected: false
WHEABootErrorCount: 0
There are no useful WHEA errors beforehand, suggesting the system is losing power rather than crashing normally.

What I’m wondering
The leading possibilities seem to be:
PSU protection or transient-load issues
Motherboard or CPU power delivery
GPU or driver power-state problems
CPU/socket/cooler mounting
RAM

I’ve bought a replacement PSU to help rule that out. Is there a better way to test rapid transient loads than OCCT Power, and what would you investigate next?

Monitor positioning suggestions

Hi recently got a 34 inch curved ultrawide and was curious what monitor arm configurations and positioning people use for their monitor. I put the mount in the centre of the desk but am wondering if I should have put it off the to the side. It’s on a standing desk.

Anyone relocated their internal NBN box?

Looking to move our NTD as it was installed in the middle of the living room (we don’t have a garage). Spoke to my usual electrician and he said only NBN could move it. I was under the impression any registered cabler could do it? Anyone have any experience doing the same?

Induction cooktop issues - warranty vs electrician

Hi we have a Siemens induction cooktop that was installed by a licensed electrician. The cooktop randomly cut out whilst in use and won’t turn back on no lights or anything. I turned it off at the switch and heard a buzzing that sounded like arcing. Left it off for 10 mins then turned on it back on - still dead no lights or anything. Should my first point of call be the manufacturer or the electrician that installed it?

Sheet mulching for native garden

Hi we are in the process of sheet mulching 200m2 of lawn and rocky clay soil for a native garden. What layers have people used? I have seen people on insta recommend cardboard, compost, straw mulch with forest mulch on top. Does it matter that much?
